About Melanie and Nick

We have been painting and drawing taking commissions for clients for over 15 years. We are professionally trained and studied for 4 years. We would be happy to discuss any project you might have.

Welcome!

As you probably know by now from looking at our website we are two artists living and working in rural wales. We absolutely love it here. Its the perfect place to live and work. I, (melanie), have lived here since I was a child, and i bought Nick back here when we finished art college. Nick was born in Cornwall and so being here is just like home from home. We both knew we could never live anywhere else.

We enjoy meeting our clients, we have quite a few locally who often bring their photos to us to draw or paint from, or dogs to be photographed for drawings and paintings. We often find its better to take photos of kids in their own home as they feel more comfortable, getting a smile for a portrait is often difficult so we do resort to pulling funny faces at times!

Over the years we have helped our local community in their art ventures, we have guided the Young Farmers in their quests to win competitions and aided their drawing in large projects like paintings of cows and scenery on sides of lorries for shows. One moment i will never forget at one of the local shows is helping paint the young farmers in woad (blue body paint) for a celtic warrior performance!

We both accept commissions worldwide and our paintings and drawings can be found as far away as Japan, Australia, Canada, USA and of course the UK. We both love conversing with our clients, we feel that customer service is one of the most important aspects and our clients are looked after from start to finish. local clients are always welcome to a cuppa!
